Sepia Presence

Sepia Presence places the organic form within a warmer, more temporal register.

The restrained sepia tonality emphasizes surface, age and material trace, while the black field removes the leaf from any literal landscape.

Details associated with fragility and transformation become part of its visual identity rather than imperfections to be concealed.

The work considers how color can shift a natural form toward memory, materiality and the perception of time.
